Publishing in Open Access: Support and Possibilities at the University of Bern and on Open Research Europe
Members of the University of Bern's research community have access to a wide range of Open Access support: from personal consultation to publishing infrastructure. The first talk will introduce the Open Access resources at your disposal and show you how best to access and make use of them. We will introduce the OA Fund and Read & Publish arrangements, look at the university's repository and information system "BORIS Portal", and explore our Diamond OA publishing infrastructure "Bern Open Publishing".
The second talk will introduce a new offer, the publication platform Open Research Europe. In operation since 2021, ORE will re-launch in October 2026, with improved services and backed by 17 European funding organisations. It will accept submissions from all authors affiliated with a Swiss research institution and no longer be limited to results of EU funded research.
